Outline and Purpose of the Course | Acquire knowledge about cutting-edge drug-discovery research and medical-pharmacy research, skills for handling specialized information, and appropriate attitudes toward research through presentations and discussions undertaken as exercises. Students must also acquire AF4 comprehension skills, presentation skills, logical-thinking skills, and language skills by discussing English treatises related to a research theme in their own fields. The course aims to improve research motivation by conducting exercises in a small-group format and ensuring that students actively attend classes. Students will learn the points to keep in mind when handling academic information and basic issues related to research ethics, thereby cultivating a sense of ethics as researchers. | |||
Course Goals |

Evaluation Methods and Policy | Evaluation is based on the following: normal points (attendance and course attitude) 70%; and presentations and answers to questions 30%. The content of presentations, contributions to discussions, attendance and participation are evaluated comprehensively. | |||

Study outside of Class (preparation and review) | When preparing to give presentations, students are expected to take enough time to study their chosen themes and to prepare easy-to-understand presentations and answers to possible questions. When others are giving presentations, students are expected to participate actively in the discussion. Please note that grades will be based on an overall assessment of these factors. | |||
