Outline and Purpose of the Course Acquire basic skills (experimental techniques) by conducting special training related to cutting-edge medical-pharmacy and drug-discovery research. In addition, students are expected to learn the basic and important practices of writing lab notebooks and managing experimental data, ultimately acquiring the attitude and perspective of researchers. They will acquire skills related to specialized experiments and instructor perspectives through guidance received during specialized pharmacy training in each field.
Course Goals 1. Acquire basic experimental techniques for conducting special training.
2. Learn the basics of writing lab notebooks and managing experimental data.
3. Acquire skills related to specialized experiments and an appropriate attitude toward research through the guidance received during specialized pharmacy training.
Schedule and Contents Course content and plans are shown in accordance with each student's assigned field.
Evaluation Methods and Policy The evaluation is based on the following measures: experimental abilities 50%; lab-notebook data management 40%; and research leadership 10%.

The level of skill acquisition and the lab notebooks kept throughout the three-year course are evaluated comprehensively.

(Specialized Pharmacy training instruction)
Attendance and actual training-guidance skills, obtained during each year's specialized pharmacy-training period, are evaluated comprehensively.
Course Requirements None
Study outside of Class (preparation and review) When it comes to basic experimental skills and the appropriate attitude toward research, students are expected to organize important points in their lab notebooks and to thoroughly review them. During specialized pharmacy-training instruction, students are expected to study the training materials thoroughly beforehand and to prepare well for experiments in order to facilitate guidance. Please note that grades will be based on a comprehensive assessment of these factors.
