Outline and Purpose of the Course Acquire knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to medical-pharmacy and drug-discovery research, through lectures, experiments, exercises, surveys, presentations, and hands-on experience. The special training involves developing the mindset needed for research, a proactive approach to learning, self-expression skills, communication skills, problem-solving skills, and presentation skills, including the ability to organize individual and group perspectives by participating in other assignments within your field.
Course Goals 1. Acquire comprehensive knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to medical-pharmacy research and drug-discovery research, and cultivate a research mindset.
2. Acquire an active-learning attitude, self-expression skills, communication skills, problem-solving skills, and presentation skills.
Schedule and Contents Course content and plans match your own assigned field; sessions are conducted at times when special training and other classes are not being held.

Examples of lesson content are below:
・ Preparation and planning for special training (first semester of the 4th year)
・ Lecture attendance for graduate students (introduction, special lectures, etc.) (4th to 6th years)
・ Participation in special lectures (including those given by international guest lecturers) (4th to 6th years)
・ Participation in special training presentations and rehearsals (4th to 6th years)
・ Participation in conferences, presentations, and rehearsals (4th to 6th years)
Evaluation Methods and Policy The final evaluation is based on the following: attendance and coursework 70%; graded reports and other material 30%. Students are evaluated through a comprehensive assessment of the knowledge and skills they have acquired, as well as their attitude towards the subject. To assess their lecture attendance, participation in special lectures, special training presentations, participation in academic conferences, and similar work, a report must be submitted to the professor in charge of the subject.

Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Students are expected to prepare in advance for lectures, special lectures, special training presentations, academic societies, and similar events, using textbooks, reference books, abstracts, and other research materials to gain a deeper understanding of the lesson content beforehand. Please note that student attitudes toward preparation will also be evaluated, based on the reports submitted to the professor in charge ofthe subject; grades will be assigned comprehensively.
