Outline and Purpose of the Course In this seminar, students will learn the methods and skills necessary for conducting research on modern European history (mid-18th century to early 20th century). During the semester, a latest academic book in English on modern European history is assigned for intensive reading.
Course Goals The specific goals of the seminar are as follows: To historically consider the events and ideas of modern Europe; to understand important issues in modern European historical studies.

Evaluation Methods and Policy Students are evaluated on the whole according to the contents of the papers presented at the seminar and their contributions to the discussion.
