Outline and Purpose of the Course | In this lecture, we will discuss on Part B and C of the "Reason" chapter of Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit. In this part, Hegel presents his conception of modern society, especially how individuals contribute to the construction of a social community through their actions. It reveals his interesting view on theory of action. | |||

In this lecture students are supposed to learn: 1. Hegel's conception of the relationship between individuals and society in the modern western society. 2. Hegel's interpretations of some classical novels like Goethe's Faust and Schiller's The Robbers. 3. Hegel's conception of action |
