Outline and Purpose of the Course We will take up several important keywords that characterize phenomena occurring in the world today in order to clarify the following questions: Using the sociological viewpoints (sociological methodology) learned in the first semester, how are these phenomena recognized? How can we discover the (invisible) structural frameworks behind these phenomena?
Course Goals Rather than getting a superficial understanding of various phenomena that are happening in the modern world, master the sociological power of imagination to critically grasp the deeper structures in which these phenomena are rooted, or which may be creating these phenomena.
