Outline and Purpose of the Course This class aims to read a text on historiography in French language and to understand historical terms and concepts more correctly.
Course Goals This class aims at learning vocabulary and expressions on history in French language.
Schedule and Contents In this class we will read chapters V-VIII of the following book:

Nicolas Offenstadt, L'historiographie, PUF: Paris, 2011.

This book from Que sais-je? series is an introduction to fundamental problems of European historiography.

Week 1: Orientation.
Weeks 2-13: Text-reading.
Week 14: Feedback.
Evaluation Methods and Policy Students will be evaluated by reading and translating the text in the class.

Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Students must prepare for class every week.
Textbooks Textbooks/References The copy of the text will be offered in the class.
References, etc. Reference books will be introduced in the class.
