The Zuozhuan is commented by Du Yu's Chunqiu Jingzhuan Jijie in the Western Jin era, which is further commented by Kong Yingda's Zhengyi in the Tang era. The objectives of this seminar are as follows: (1) Mastery of exact grammatical interpretation of historical materials in classic Chinese through precise reading of the Zhengyi.
