Outline and Purpose of the Course During the Edo period, samurai, scholars, and people in Japan recorded what they saw and heard about the Tsushinshi when they visited Japan. Among them, "Koreans' Raiheiki" written by Zenemon Watanabe, a retainer of the Yodo Domain, belongs to the most detailed category, and it clearly describes the preparations for the reception of Tsushinshi and the actual situation of the exchange with Tsushinshi. By reading this carefully, you will learn the basic treatment of historical materials, and touch on a part of the perception of Korea by people of the Edo period and the thought circuit of samurai families.
Course Goals In addition to acquiring the ability to accurately read texts, students will acquire the basic attitude of research to grasp the history of early modern Japan in three dimensions by exploring and interacting with various related historical materials such as related touches, records, and diaries.
Schedule and Contents 1st to 2nd Introduction
The outline of "Korean Visitors" is explained. It also introduces dictionaries, basic outlines, and commentaries that should be used in modern history, and publicizes how to proceed with lessons and how to prepare and present them. In addition, the section in charge of attendees shall be determined.

3rd and 29th Careful Reading of the " Korean Visitors' Records "
Read the text carefully and discuss the content. The progress varies greatly depending on the content of the article and the level of proficiency and number of participants, so it is not possible to indicate the schedule for each episode, but the report should be read so that it can be reported twice per person.

Summarize the results of careful reading and discuss all remaining issues and questions. If you cannot read it to a nice point, this episode may be replenished.
