Outline and Purpose of the Course | Mid-term presentations will be held on research intended for writing graduate papers, and students will receive feedback from instructors and other attendees so that their papers will be more comprehensive. Each student will present their results in stages as their research progresses. | |||
Course Goals | Write up graduate papers based upon mid-term class presentations and subsequent Q&A. | |||
Schedule and Contents |
Each student will settle on a research theme by the May break. In their final first semester presentations, they will organize records of research related to their theme and any issues therein, and present a work plan and research plan for the summer break. In the first half of the second semester, they will organize and present the results of materials collected during the summer break and the current status of their analytical results. In reporting conducted in the second half of the second semester, they will present a draft table of contents for their papers, and review research results. Class sessions will roughly follow the schedule below but will be adjusted on a daily basis depending on the number of participants. First semester 1st session: Guidance 2nd - 8th: Exploration of research themes 9th - 15th: 1st report Second semester 1st - 7th: 2nd report 8th - 15th: 3rd report |

Presumes that a graduate paper will be written and submitted. Do not forget to file graduate paper separate from this seminar. |
