Outline and Purpose of the Course |
受講生は理系分野の文章を読み進め、学術的な関心・理解を深めるのに必要な日本語運用能力を向上させる。また、読みとった内容について、専門用語を用いながら、読み手を意識した文章にまとめる。 本授業では、前期に提供される日本語上級(文献講読IIA)で習得した理系分野の基本語彙、基本表現をもとに、まずそれぞれの学生が講読計画を立て、より専門性の高い文献の講読、要約の執筆を行う。この授業は、日本語教育担当教員と理系教育担当教員のティームティーチングで行う。 Students will read texts in the field of science and improve their Japanese language skills necessary to develop their academic interest and understanding. They will also summarize what they have read, using technical terms, in a text with the reader in mind. In this class, each student will first make a reading plan, read more specialized literature, and write a summary, based on the basic vocabulary and expressions in the field of science acquired in Advanced Japanese (Academic Reading IIA) offered in the first semester. This class will be co-taught by a Japanese language teacher and a science teacher. |

Course Goals |
次のことができるようになることを目指す。 (1)専門の学習・研究に役立つ日本語応用力を向上させる。 (2)不自由なく大学の講義が理解でき、学術的な文章の読み書きや議論ができる。 (3)文法的な誤りが少なく、場面に応じた言い回しやことばの使い分けができる。 (4)違和感を与えることなく自然なやり取りができる。 (1) To be able to apply the Japanese skills you have acquired to your studies in your own major or field of research. (2) To be able to comprehend university lectures, read and write academic text, and participate in academic discussions with ease. (3) To be able to communicate with few grammatical errors, and to be able to distinguish and use expressions according to different situations. (4) To be able to carry out natural conversation. |

Schedule and Contents |
それぞれの専門分野の概説書について、講読計画を立てる。講読計画に沿って文献を読み進める。同時に、口頭表現、要約執筆、講義視聴などの活動も取り入れ、学術的な関心・理解を深めるのに必要な日本語運用能力を総合的に向上させる。 第1回 オリエンテーション、講読文献の選定、講読計画を立てる。 第2回~第13回 (1)文献の講読 (2)口頭報告 (3)内容の議論 (4)要約執筆 (5)関連講義の録画の視聴 (6)要約の校正 第14回 最終発表、全体をふりかえる 第15回 フィードバック Students will develop a reading plan for the following overviews in their field of specialization. Students will read texts according to the reading plan. At the same time, oral expression, writing summaries, watching lectures, and other activities will be incorporated to comprehensively improve students' Japanese language skills necessary to deepen their academic interests and understanding. Evaluation Methods and Policy |
(1)授業で書いた論述課題、最終レポートの評価(70%)と参加態度(30%)による。 (2)成績評価基準の詳細については、授業中に指示する。 (3)5回以上の欠席者は評価の対象としない。 (1) The student’s final grade will be based on both in-class participation (30%), and the writing assignments they will write during class and the final report (70%). (2) Details of the grading method and evaluation criteria will be provided in class. (3) Students who are absent from 5 or more class sessions will not be evaluated. |
