Outline and Purpose of the Course 日本語中級Ⅱ（6Hコース）は、「聞く・読む・書く」の3技能を向上させながら、中級前半から上級へとつながる日本語能力を養うことを目的としている。
本コースは、週3クラス（3日間）の授業で構成されている。一週間で(1)文法・作文 (2)聴解 (3)読解・応用練習問題を行い、中級レベルの日本語能力の定着を図る。

This integrated course aims to develop an all-round ability of Japanese at the upper intermediate level, focusing on reading, listening and writing skills. It consists of three sessions per week, taking up 1) grammar and composition, 2) listening comprehension, 3) reading comprehension and their application.
Course Goals 次のことができるようになることを目指す。
1. 新聞記事、随筆などの様々なジャンルの文章が理解できる読解力の習得
2. 的確な構成の、説得力のある文章を作成できる程度の文章力の習得
3. 中級後半レベルの文法を実践的に使える運用力の習得
4. JLPT N2／CEFR B2 レベル相当の日本語運用力の習得

Course goals are as follows.
1. To develop reading comprehension abilities sufficient for understanding various written materials such as newspaper articles and essays.
2. To develop composition abilities necessary for composing well-formed and well-argued essays.
3. To develop practical skills in upper-intermediate level grammar.
4. To attain a level of proficiency equivalent to the JLPT N2 level or CEFR B2 level.
Schedule and Contents ・日本語中級Ⅱ（6Hコース）は、以下の3クラスから構成されている。
火曜日5限　文法・作文（担当：土井）
金曜日4限　文法・読解（担当：佐々木）
金曜日5限　聴解・応用練習問題（担当：三登）



・『みんなの日本語　中級Ⅱ本冊』を使用する。授業計画は以下の通りである。
第1週～第4週　　中級Ⅰの復習、導入　第13課～第16課
第5週　　　　　 復習、小テスト1
第6週～第9週　　第17課～第20課
第10週　　　　　復習、小テスト2
第11週～第13週　第21課～第23課
第14週　　　　　第24課、復習、小テスト3
第15週　　　　　期末テスト
第16週　　　　　フィードバック

Intermediate Japanese II (6H Course) is comprised of the following four classes.
Tuesday, 2nd period: Grammar and composition (Instructor: Doi)
Friday, 4th period: Grammar and reading comprehension(Instructor: Sasaki)
Friday, 5th period: Listening comprehension and over all application(Instructor: Mito)

The schedule may change depending on students’ abilities.
Evaluation Methods and Policy ・「参加態度」30%、「4課ごとの小テスト1～3、期末試験」70%で評価する。
・成績評価基準の更なる詳細については、授業中に指示する。
・3コマ連続の授業であるため、各コマ全回数の1/3以上の欠席者は評価の対象としない。

・The student’s final grade will be based on 1)in-class participation(30%), and 2)three tests and a final exam(70%).
・Details of the grading method and evaluation criteria will be provided in class.
・Students who are absent from 1/3 or more of the total 15 sessions of each class will not be evaluated.

Study outside of Class (preparation and review) ・『みんなの日本語中級II 翻訳・文法解説』の各課の語彙・文法についての解説を事前に読んでおくこと。
・各課のはじめに単語クイズを行うので、予習してくること。
・毎回の授業で学んだ語彙や表現を復習し、繰り返し練習すること。

・Students are expected to study the grammar and vocabulary in each lesson using “Minna no Nihongo Intermediate II Translation and Grammatical Notes” before coming to class.
・A vocabulary quiz will be administered at the beginning of each class; students are expected to study the vocabulary before coming to class.
・Students are required to practice and review vocabulary and expressions they have studied in class every week.
