Outline and Purpose of the Course 場面、行動、感情、意見などをスムーズに表現する能力を身につける。
The purpose of the course is for students to learn how to smoothly describe events, actions, feelings, and opinions.
Course Goals ・情報を整理して、詳しく説明することができる。
・自分の体験などを聞き手に伝わる描写を工夫して説明することができる。
・聞き手の理解を確認しながら、効果的な情報伝達ができる。
・他人の発表を聞き取って、反応を表したり質問することにより、自分の理解を相手に伝えることができる
・他人の発表に対して、自分の意見や感想を述べることができる。
・JLPT N2/CEFR B2レベル相当に到達する。

Course goals are as follows
・To be able to organize information and explain it in detail.
・To be able to describe one's own experiences in a way that can be easy for listeners to visualize.
・To be able to communicate information effectively while confirming the understanding of listeners.
・To be able to express one's own understanding of others' presentations by expressing one's reactions and asking questions.
・To be able to express one's own opinions and impressions about others' presentations.
・To attain a level of proficiency equivalent to the JLPT N2/CEFR B2 level.

The schedule may change depending on the needs of students.
Evaluation Methods and Policy ・「参加態度」20％、「課題」20%、「中間・期末試験」各30％で評価する。
・成績評価基準のさらなる詳細については授業中に指示する
・全回数の三分の一以上の欠席者は評価の対象としない。

・The student’s final grade will be based on 1) in-class participation (20%), 2) assignments(20%) and 3) a midterm and a final exam (30% each).
・Details of the grading method and evaluation criteria will be provided in class.
・Students who are absent from 1/3 or more of the total number of class sessions will not be evaluated.

Study outside of Class (preparation and review) ・毎週の授業で学んだ表現を復習しておくこと。
　Students are required to review the expressions they have studied in class each week.
