| Outline and Purpose of the Course |
読む・書く・聞く・話すの4技能についての総合的な日本語力の向上を目指す、後半。 The purpose of this course is for students to develop their overall Japanese language skills, focusing on reading, writing, listening and conversation (second half). |

| Course Goals |
1.論理的な文章の読解力を高める。 2.より正確で適確な語彙・文法・表現を身につける。 3.研究報告書が書けるようにする。 4.絵、写真、図表、人の動きなどについて、客観的に説明ができるようにする。 5.4に対する質問の仕方や意見の述べ方を身につける。 1. Acquire the ability to comprehend passages written in a logical style. 2. Acquire the ability to use more accurate and appropriate grammar and expressions. 3. Acquire the ability to write research reports. 4. Acquire the skills needed for objective verbal expression on illustration,picture,diagram,and somebody's action,etc. 5. Acquire the skills needed for asking questions and for stating opinions in presentation sessions. |

| Schedule and Contents |
（１）読解（数回） ・研究テーマに近い内容の文章を読む。 （２）研究報告書の練習（6～7回） ・研究目的から結論まで、わかりやすい報告書の書き方を学ぶ。 （３）口頭表現（数回） ・聞き手にわかるように、何かの説明をしてみる ・聞き手は、質問や意見の言い方を学ぶ。 （４）文法・語彙・漢字など（毎回） ・宿題としてプリントを課し、次の回に答え合わせをする。 （５）期末試験（1回） （６）フィードバック（1回） なお、授業はフィードバックを含め全15回で、ここに期末試験は含まれません。 (1) Reading comprehension (few sessions) ・Read passages with contents related to the research topic. (2) Practice writing research reports (6-7 sessions) ・Learn how to write reports from purpose to conclusion, in an easy to comprehend style. (3) Verbal expression (few sessions) ・Giving verbal expression on various things and situation, objectively. (4) Grammar,Vocablary,kanji etc. (Every week) ・Homework will be assigned each time, and we will check our answers the following week. (5) Final exam (once) (6) Feedback session (once) The classes are 15 times in total including feedback, and the terminal exam is not included in them. ＊毎回、前回の内容からディクテーションをします。 ＊Every week, we will do dictation based on the content of the previous week's class. |

| Evaluation Methods and Policy |
・ 授業参加度 20% 提出物20% 期末試験 60% ・ 4回以上の欠席は、単位を認めない。 ・In-class participation 20%; assignments 20%; final exam 60%. ・Students who are absent four or more times will not receive credit. |

| Course Requirements |
・ 履修登録前に、日本語・日本文化教育センターの日本語プレースメントテストを 受けること。プレースメントテストの日時は、国際高等教育院日本語教育HPを参照 すること。 ・ 前期・後期の連続履修が望ましい。 ・Applicants need to take a placement test before completing class registration. Please check the website of the Institute for Liberal Arts and Sciences (ILAS) for the test schedule. ・Students enrolling in this class are encouraged to take the first and second semester classes consecutively. |
