Outline and Purpose of the Course |
For those graduate students who are aspired to work in the university as an academic, it is important to develop not only research but also teaching abilities. This course offers the opportunity to learn foundational knowledge and skills necessary for teaching at the university. In addition, we aim to offer a space to develop wider perspectives of university education through discussions with graduate students from various disciplinary backgrounds. |

Followings are this course's interned learning outcomes (ILOs) (1)To recognise current issues of university education in Japan (2)To explain foundational theories of a course design (3)To design a course based on the foundational theories (including intended learning outcomes and assessment methods) (4)To examine various teaching methods and plan an effective use of them (5)To train practical skills of teaching by taking part in a micro teaching and reflection session afterwards (6)To demonstrate engagement with group activities (7)To show comprehensive and practical understanding of what it means to teach at the university |
