| Outline and Purpose of the Course | 1997年にアメリカでベストセラーとなったミッチ・アルボムの『モリー先生との火曜日』を読む。難病に侵され、余命いくばくとないモリー教授とかつての教え子だったミッチとの心の触れ合いを描くものである。父親的人物と男性との友情物語はアメリカらしいテーマであり、ここからアメリカの文化・社会・歴史などが見えてくるように思われる。テレビ映画化もされており、エミー賞受賞など、評価の高い映画なので、DVDも併用しながら授業を進めたいと思う。 | |||
