| Outline and Purpose of the Course |
・この授業は、初級前半を終了した学習者を対象にした会話クラスである。 ・日常生活のさまざまな場面でコミュニケーションがとれるように、必要な会話能力を身につけることを目的とする。 ・日本の文化について知り、自分自身の文化を振り返りながら、考えを深める。 This is a conversation class for students who have completed the first half of Elementary Japanese. The purpose of the course is for students to attain the conversation skills necessary for communicating in a variety of everyday situations. Students will learn about Japanese culture, reflect on their own culture, and deepen intercultural understanding. |

| Course Goals |
・基本的な個人情報や家族情報、買い物、仕事などで、よく使われる文や表現が理解できるようになる。 ・簡単で日常的な範囲であれば、身近で日常の事柄についての情報交換に応ずることができる。 ・自分の背景や身の回りの状況や、直接的な必要性がある領域の事柄を簡単な言葉で説明できるようになる。 ・JLPT N4/ CEFR A2 レベルに相当するレベルを達成する。 ・To be able to understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (for example basic personal and family information, shopping, employment). ・To be able to communicate in situations that require a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. ・To be able to describe in simple terms aspects of your background, immediate environment, and matters of immediate need. ・To attain a level of proficiency equivalent to the JLPT N4 or CEFR A2 levels. |

| Schedule and Contents |
メインテキストとして、『まるごと 日本のことばと文化 初級2A2 かつどう』を使用し、毎回1～2課ずつ学習していく。授業計画は以下の通りである。 第1週：オリエンテーション、自己紹介1 第2週：自己紹介2 第3週：レストランを予約する 第4週：レストランで注文する 第5週：料理の食べ方を説明する 第6週：旅行についてアドバイスをする／もらう 第7週：ツアーに参加する 第8週：国の観光地を紹介する（会話テスト） 第9週：スケジュールを確認する 第10週：季節のイベントについて尋ねる 第11週：国のイベントを紹介する 第12週：ショッピング、製品を比較してどちらがいいかを決める 第13週：ショッピング、アドバイスをする/もらう 第14週：有名な人について知っていることや好きになったきっかけについて話す 第15週：国の有名な人を紹介する（会話テスト） 第16週：フィードバック なお授業計画は、学生の能力や要望により変更することがある。 We will use “Marugoto: Japanese language and culture Elementary 2 A2 Coursebook for communicative activities” as our textbook, and cover one or two lessons each week. The class schedule is as follows. Week1：Orientation, self introduction1 Week2：Self introduction2 Week3：Reserve restaurants Week4：Order a meal, saying what dishes you want and how many of each Week5：Explain how to eat a particular dish from Japan or your country Week6：Give/receive advice about the trip Week7：Talk about which tour you are interested in Week8：Introduce your country's sightseeing spot（Exam） Week9：Confirm the schedule Week10：Ask the seasonal event Week11：Introduce Japan's/your country's event Week12：Compare the products Week13：Give/receive advice about shopping Week14：Talk about what you know about a famous person and how you came to like them Week15：Introduce your country's famous person（Exam） Week16：Feedback The class schedule may change depending on the students’ abilities and requests. |

| Evaluation Methods and Policy |
・「参加態度」30％、と「2回の会話テスト」70％で評価する。 ・成績評価基準の更なる詳細については、授業中に指示する。 ・5回以上の欠席者は評価の対象としない。 ・The student’s final grade will be based on 1) in-class participation (30%), and 2) two conversation tests (70%). ・Details of the grading method and evaluation criteria will be provided in class. ・Students who are absent from 5 or more class sessions will not be evaluated. |

| Study outside of Class (preparation and review) |
自宅でオーディオファイルを聞いてよく練習すること。 教室外でも様々な日本語に触れてほしい。 Students are expected to listen to the audio files and practice at home and do their best to use Japanese outside the class. |
