Outline and Purpose of the Course This course is to improve communication and discussion skills in English with various topics related to science and technology.
Course Goals Through this course, students will be able to present their own idea clearly and discuss with others efficiently.
Schedule and Contents # 1st semester

Introduction

Presentations and Discussions
Students will select their own discussion topics and make presentations. In each presentation, a group discussion session will be followed. Evaluation is on the presentation and the group discussion activity. Each session will be within 30 minutes including a presentation and discussion.

# 2nd semester

Lectures and Discussions
Regarding a specific technical topic, students will give short lectures based on their understanding. After the lecture from a student, a Q&A session will be followed. Evaluation is on the presentation and the Q&A activity. Each session will be within 40 minutes including a lecture and Q&A.

Wrap-up discussion and Feedback
Evaluation Methods and Policy Students' presentation and discussion performance in each class will be graded as good, fair, and poor [presentation 50% and discussion 50%]. The final score will be the accumulated scores through all classes. Those who are absent more than 5 times will not be credited.

Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Reading and watching scientific/technological materials as much as possible.
