| Outline and Purpose of the Course |
野生霊長類の研究は、現在では非常に多様な内容を含んでいる。ここでは、霊長類の生態、行動、社会構造などについて代表的な研究や理論を紹介し、適応的観点および進化史的観点からの総合的な理解をめざす。また、日本の霊長類学で大きな柱である類人猿研究と、近年重要な課題となっている保全生態学的研究についても、最近のトピックも含めて概説する。 Research now being carried out on primates in the wild is extremely diverse. Ecology, behavior and social structures of primates will be reviewed. These topics will be discussed from an evolutionarily adaptive perspective. The historical review and present topics of great ape studies and conservation biology of primates will also be introduced. |

野生霊長類の生態、行動、社会構造に関する代表的な研究や理論について、適応的観点および進化史的観点から総合的に理解する。 Understand representative studies and thories on ecology, behavior, and social structure of primates, from the viewpoints of adaptation and evolution. |
