科目名: 生物科学特殊講義9
テーマ: 動物社会の行動生態学(Behavioral ecology of animal societies)
講師 : 沓掛展之(総研大) Kutsukake, N (Sokendai)
Course Goals Understanding the structure and characteristics of societies has been a central topic in studies of non-human primates. Unfortunately, however, primate researchers do not have good opportunities to know findings in other animals (human included) and to learn sophisticated theories of modern behavioral ecology. Using my previous studies and others as examples, I want to show that comparative and conceptual approaches are useful for graduate students studying primates.
Schedule and Contents 1. Primate societies
2. Fundamental theories and current challenges of behavioural ecology
3. Non-primate societies
4. Phylogenetic comparative methods
5. Human behavioral ecology
Course Requirements None
Study outside of Class (preparation and review) 特になし
