Outline and Purpose of the Course This course aims to equip students with the communication skills they will need to excel as researchers. That is, the ability to make persuasive research presentations that effectively convey arguments and have a logical structure, and the ability to engage in presentation Q&A and make constructive proposals that will build a deep mutual understanding of the presentation content and help develop the research. To that end, students will get feedback on setting questions and building presentations for their own research by listening to other students' research presentations and accurately capturing their meaning and explaining them concisely and understandably. After this, students will prepare and give their own research presentations, where they will respond to questions at the research presentation preparatory stage and at the presentation meeting, and actively engage in Q&A at the presentation meeting. Students will then listen to research presentations at the presentation meeting, where they will explain the significance and features of their research and also submit a report to discuss and outline their own concerns and opinions or perhaps other approaches and new ideas (first-year master's students). They will give an actual presentation at a presentation meeting on the scientific significance of their research theme , their original thinking to solve problems, and details about the new discoveries they have made through their research (second-year master's students).
Course Goals To develop the skills in scientific research, presentation creation, presentation techniques, and presentation Q&A that will be needed to make a persuasive research presentation.
