| Outline and Purpose of the Course |
(Aim) The course aims to equip students with understanding of the recent research in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics. (Summary) The course introduces and discusses the recent findings in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics, such as adverse effects, toxicity, drug interactions, appropriate use of drugs, the pathophysiology of various diseases and their therapeutic agents, and personalized medicine. |

| Course Goals | Students will gain knowledge and learn basic approaches in the logical interpretation of individual data in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics through their own presentations and discussions with lab members. The course also aims to help them develop problem-solving skills to move forward with research and to manage various scientific problems. | |||
| Schedule and Contents |
1~15: Seminars will be held for the following subjects. ・Research for mechanisms and their treatment of adverse effects of pharmaceutical drugs. ・Research on the correlations between blood concentration and efficacy/adverse effects of pharmaceutical drugs, and changes in pharmacokinetics during pathophysiology ・Pharmacokinetic analysis studies for the appropriate use of pharmaceutical drugs ・Clinical and basic research on drug-induced nephropathy ・Research on the elucidation of the pathophysiology and the development of therapeutic drugs for chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy ・Research on the pathophysiologies of pain and analgesics |

| Evaluation Methods and Policy | Students will be comprehensively evaluated based on their attendance to the seminar and proper participation in the presentations and discussions. | |||
