Outline and Purpose of the Course (Aim) Through presentations and accompanying discussions, this course aims to equip students with knowledge related to biophysical chemistry and structural biology as well as basic approaches in the interpretation of individual data and logicality; it also aims to help them develop problem-solving skills to move forward with research and deal with various scientific problems.

(Summary) The course outlines the latest findings in biophysical chemistry and structural biology, which are used as a basis for discussion.
Course Goals To understand the latest research findings in biophysical chemistry and structural biology, and develop the ability to use these as a basis to plan new research.
Schedule and Contents 1-15: The following seminars will be held.
・Presentation on research related to antimicrobial peptides, with accompanying discussion and interpretation
・Presentation on research related to the mechanisms of amyloid formation, with accompanying discussion and interpretation
・Presentation on research related to the visualization analysis of receptors, with accompanying discussion and interpretation
・Presentation on research related to the structural analysis of biological molecules through NMR, with accompanying discussion and interpretation
・Presentation on research related to ABC transporters, with accompanying discussion and interpretation
・Presentation on research related to the transportation and localization of membrane proteins, with accompanying discussion and interpretation
・Presentation on research related to the biological clock, with accompanying discussion and interpretation
・Presentation on research related to the structural analysis of biological molecules through X-ray crystallography, with accompanying discussion and interpretation
Evaluation Methods and Policy Students will be comprehensively evaluated based on seminar attendance and the relevance of their input in discussions.
