Outline and Purpose of the Course	Directed Studies of Ethics in Nursing Practice and Research provides graduate students with the opportunity to conduct case studies of interest in the field of nursing ethics and to pursue specific projects and examine strategies. Projects may involve: (1) a research study, (2) a review and analysis of current research and theory, (3) a nursing ethics consultation/education initiative, and (4) a historical study.
Course Goals	・To conduct in-depth investigations into topics in Nursing Ethics ・To complete a comprehensive literature review and analysis into a specific topic, and/or conduct a project with sound design, appropriate methodologies, and detailed findings ・To identify limitations and future directions within a topic of interest ・To provide support and peer review on the academic work of others ・To demonstrate an understanding and application of the Ethical Guidelines for Medical and Health Research Involving Human Subjects
