Outline and Purpose of the Course Lectures on epidemiology and its research methods are essential for quantitative research in health care. We will also explain the statistics necessary to understand epidemiology. Students will create a group study protocol through group learning and present their protocols at the end of the course. We aim for a more concrete understanding through group discussions. It is assumed that the participants in this course intend to carry out quantitative research focusing on people. The assessment (regular examination) is also a form of quantitative research.
Course Goals Understand the fundamentals of quantitative research and acquire skills to create a research plan.

Sessions 2-3: Fundamentals of epidemiology

Sessions 8-9: Statistics required for epidemiology
