Outline and Purpose of the Course This summer camp is an original workshop designed for first year STiPS students to promote intellectual cooperation and exchange among students of participating universities.
Course Goals Acquire advanced knowledge in relevant fields and conduct analyses based on various points of view. Group work on problem analysis and policy recommendations will enhance the adaptability of the knowledge that students obtain and share.
Schedule and Contents This is a joint 3-day,2night training camp seminar on Policy Science conducted by participating Science and Technology Innovation Centers (the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, the University of Tokyo, Hitotsubashi University, the Kyoto University-Osaka University partnership, and Kyushu University). Guest speakers deliver presentations; students form work-groups to propose policies to analyse and solve contemporary problems, presenting their results in front of the entire camp.

* Depending on the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, the exercises may be carried out online via Zoom or changed to a format that does not involve lodging.
