Outline and Purpose of the Course Project management has become central to operations in many kind of business stage as diverse as construction and information technology, architecture and hospitality, and engineering and new project management while addressing specific examples across the wide assortment of its applications. This course will study a holistic, integrated approach to managing projects, exploring both technical and managerial challenges. It is not only emphasizes business project execution, but also provide a strategic perspective, demonstrating the means with which to manage projects at both the program and portfolio levels. This course will also focus traditional project management activities of planning and scheduling, project control, termination.
Course Goals Course goal is mutual understanding basic concept of project management as follows;
(1)What project management is all about and how to approach it successfully?
(2)The selection of a project manager and defining the goals of the project.
(3)The importance of planning, management, team building, and organization.
(4)The issue of budgeting in project management, including cost budgeting and personnel budgeting.
(5)The importance of estimating, guessing, and milestones in project scheduling.
(6)How leadership and communication affect project management.
(7)How variables and risks should be approached when planning a project.
