Outline and Purpose of the Course |
Title changed from "Organization and Management" This course provides an overview understanding of organizational behavior (OB). The course will introduce diversity in organizations, job satisfaction and motivation, organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior, leadership and organizational justice, and diversity management. The class format is a combination of lectures, academic paper reading, paper presentations, and class discussions. Students are expected to exchange ideas and apply the knowledge of OB to the discussion of academic papers. |

Course Goals |
・ Provide an overview of organizational behavior (OB) and demonstrate the importance of organizational behavior (OB) ・ Familiarize students with the fundamental concepts and terminology of each element of OB (e.g., organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior, organizational justice, leadership concepts, etc. ) ・ Apply the theoretical and practical implementation of OB gained through this course to the academic paper reading and MBA final report development |

Evaluation Methods and Policy |
Grades will be determined based on (a) written assignments and contributions to class (70%) and (b) final report paper (30%). *Three or more absences will result in a failing grade. *** Positive Participation rather than Pensive Pauses!!! |

Study outside of Class (preparation and review) | For each class, create short answers to the assignment questions. All answers must be completed before the class as preparation for class discussion. Students will be expected to contribute effectively to class discussions based not only on common sense and personal experience but also on the required readings. |
