Outline and Purpose of the Course | It has been about 10 years since network devices such as computers and portable telephones that are connected to the Internet began to penetrate the life of Japanese people. The Internet has transcended time and space, bringing us enormous amounts of information contact opportunities. At the same time, as an infrastructure that enables social networks to expand and strengthen to an unparalleled level, it has brought about significant changes in our daily lives and in our lifestyles at a wide range of levels, including the individual, interpersonal relationships, groups, societies, and at the intersection and convergence of these. | ||
Course Goals | In this course, based on domestic and international research, students will understand the influence of the Internet system and the digital and virtual society created by its users on the real world from four perspectives: “individuals,” “interpersonal relationships,” “groups,” and “society.” | ||
