Outline and Purpose of the Course	We will aim to complete basic Russian grammar. This course is for students who learned elementary Russian the previous year or those who have the equivalent basic practical language skills.
Course Goals	1) Get a complete understanding of basic Russian grammar. 2) Be able to read simple Russian with the help of a dictionary.
Schedule and Contents	In a continuation of the previous year's elementary level, the course will follow distributed printouts. The model sentences and grammar points of each teaching unit are roughly as follows. (Weeks 1-6) Lesson 15: "I want to buy a gift for my husband": Dative Case Expressions Lesson 16: "Black tea is usually drunk with milk": Instrumental Case Expressions Lesson 17: "I saw Anton at a Japanese restaurant": Accusative Case of Subject Nouns, Adjective Case Declension Lesson 18: "How do you know that's not Anton?": Complete and Incomplete Forms of Verbs Lesson 19: "If you're throwing it out, I'll help you": Summary of Tenses, Auxiliary Verb Rules of Use Lesson 20: "If I were a bird": Subjunctive Mood We will then learn further grammar items necessary for reading Russian compositions. (Weeks 7-12) ・Relatives　・Converbs　・Participles　・Passive Voice While reviewing grammar topics, we will read simple Russian texts. (Weeks 13-14) Week 15: Summary 　 Feedback will be explained in class.
Evaluation Methods and Policy	Assessments on class participation (30％) and exams (70％).
Course Requirements	Must have taken Russian (elementary level) the previous academic year or have Russian language skills at the equivalent level.
Study outside of Class (preparation and review)	Look over the distributed printouts ahead of time and thoroughly review and master vocabulary and syntax after class.
