| Outline and Purpose of the Course | In this class, we will read Л. Улицкая "Дед-Шептун" и И. Бабель "В подвале" in Russian for those students who have already learned Russian grammar. With it, we will train students in translating from Russian into the appropriate Japanese. Also, we will analyze the literary work and gain a deeper knowledge of the background of the times. | |||

1) Acquire linguistic ability, method, and knowledge to read and understand Russian literature. 2) Acquire the skills necessary to translate text from Russian literature into Japanese. |
