Outline and Purpose of the Course Multiple faculty members advise students on the presentation of their research progress based on their independent research plan towards completing their dissertation. By experiencing external presentations and publications of articles, including Project Based Research (an advanced style of Project Based Learning), and receiving feedback, students are guided to complete their dissertation and doctroal degree.
Course Goals Completion of the dissertation for a Ph.D. degree and the establishment of a career path.
Schedule and Contents Students will select the appropriate international organization, enterprise, or government office for the Project Based Research, based on the consultation about their career path with the research advisor, commissioned research advisor, and mentor/instructor. Students will conduct practical research for half a year and endeavor to complete the dissertation for the other half of the year.
Evaluation Methods and Policy The faculty will advise students on the submitted draft of the dissertation and encourage students to complete it. By establishing a dissertation committee, the faculty will examine whether the submitted dissertation has enough substance worthy of a Ph.D.
