| Outline and Purpose of the Course |
This course is designed to provide an overview of infectious disease risk, basic epidemiological concepts necessary for risk estimation, epidemiological theory, research design, and other theoretical foundations based on practical examples. Students do not need basic knowledge of epidemiology/health science (related medical knowledge) but are expected to participate in an active discussion. |

Association and causal relationship 5. Bias analysis 6. Fundamentals of epidemiologic data analysis 7. Fundamentals of infectious disease epidemiologic data analysis 8. Outbreak investigation 9-10.Time series analysis on infectious disease 11-12. Statistical modeling on infectious disease 13-15.Mathematical modeling on infectious disease Lectures will be given face-to-face as well as online several times |
