Outline and Purpose of the Course	画像などの視覚メディアを介した人間-計算機間のインタフェースの実現に関する関連知識として、ヒューマンインタフェースの基本的概念、現実世界の仮想化、インタフェースの入出力デバイス、顔・表情・視線・動作の認識・生成等について講述する。 This course focuses on the interface between humans and computers explored through visual media such as images. The course explains the basic concepts of human interface, virtualization of the real world, input and output devices for interface, and facial image processing.
Course Goals	・視覚メディアを介したインタフェースについての基本的事項を理解する ・インタラクション，VR・AR，顔やジェスチャの認識など，ビジュアルインタフェースに関係する分野の最新の研究について理解する． - Understanding fundamental method/technique of human-computer interface. - Understanding related field of interface, such as human interaction, VR, AR, and face and gesture recognition.

Evaluation Methods and Policy	成績評価は講義中のレポート・課題提出、および講義中の発表により情報学研究科成績評価規定第７条により行う． Grading will be based on submitted reports and presentation according to Article 7 of Graduate School of Informatics Academic Grading Regulations.
Course Requirements	画像処理やコンピュータビジョン、コンピュータグラフィクスに関する初歩的知識を有することが望まれる。 It is preferable that students have basic knowledge on Image Processing and Computer Vision.
Study outside of Class (preparation and review)	講義資料を事前に配布するので，予習復習を行うこと． Lecture materials (powerpoint slides) will be available before the lecture. Students are expected to prepare and review for each class.
