Outline and Purpose of the Course	研究と実践の連携を視野に入れながら，第二言語の語彙学習・指導について探求することを目的とする。本授業では，第二言語語彙習得論分野における最新の研究成果に基づいた議論を通して，効果的な語彙指導を実践するための知見を得る。また，具体的な語彙学習法や指導法の有効性について検証を行うとともに，外国語教育における語彙指導の在り方についても考察する。

Schedule and Contents	第１回：Orientation / Introduction （オリエンテーション，コース紹介） 第２回：Which words should be learned? （学習用語彙の選定） 第３回：Learning burden （学習困難度） 第４回：Vocabulary size and growth （語彙サイズと発達） 第５回：Conditions contributing to vocabulary learning （語彙学習に影響を与える要因） 第６回：Analyzing vocabulary learning activities (extensive reading/listening, 4/3/2, etc.)　 （語彙学習活動の分析（多読・多聴，4/3/2，など）） 第７回：Analyzing vocabulary learning activities (guessing from context, speed-reading, glossing, etc.)　 （語彙学習活動の分析（文脈からの推測，速読，注釈，など）） 第８回：Analyzing vocabulary learning activities (flashcards, keyword technique, word parts, etc.)　 （語彙学習活動の分析（フラッシュカード，キーワード法，語の構成要素，など）） 第９回：Learning vocabulary in different contexts （異なる学習環境における語彙学習） 第10回：Developing autonomous learners of vocabulary （自律的な語彙学習者の育成） 第11回：Developing an effective vocabulary learning program （効果的な語彙学習プログラムの開発） 第12回：Resources for vocabulary learning （語彙学習用資源） 第13回：Key questions about vocabulary learning (What is the teacher’s role? How much classroom time should be spent teaching vocabulary? etc.)　 （語彙学習に関する重要な問い（教師の役割とは何か，語彙学習にどれほどの授業時間を割くべきか，など）） 第14回：Key questions about vocabulary learning (How should teachers select vocabulary activities? Is there value in language-focused learning? etc.)　 （語彙学習に関する重要な問い（どのように語彙学習活動を選ぶべきか，言語的側面に焦点を当てた学習に意味はあるか，など）） 第15回：Feedback　 （フィードバック） なお，受講者には少なくとも一つの項目について関連研究の成果をまとめて発表することが期待されている。
Evaluation Methods and Policy	・平常点（予習に基づく議論への積極的な参加など）：30％ ・発表：30％ ・学期末レポート：40% により総合的に評価する。
