Outline and Purpose of the Course This intensive course aims to study renewable energy projects by local actors (community power projects). Through interactive lectures by various guest lectures and group works/presentations, students are expected to acquire basic knowledge on community power projects and related careers. Students are also expected to consider how they contribute to making sustainable communities. This course is designed to promote interactive learning at group work and workshop.

本講義は、地域主導の再生可能エネルギー事業(コミュニティパワー事業)についての実践的な集中講義である。実務として地域の再生可能エネルギー事業に関わるゲスト講師の講義、受講者とのディスカッション、受講者同士のグループワークを通して、コミュニティパワー事業の意義と関係する人材について理解し、受講者自身のキャリアについても考えることを目的とする。グループワークやワークショップで積極的な参加ができる受講者をとくに歓迎する。
Course Goals 　Students will understand the significance of community power projects and related careers. They will also acquire the concrete concept of the sustainable society. In addition, they will learn critical thinking skill.

地域主導の再生可能エネルギー事業の意義と受講者自身のキャリアとの関わりについて理解し、今後の持続可能な社会のあり方についてのビジョンを持つ。さらに、健全な批判的思考力をもとに現実を読み解く力を養う。
Schedule and Contents Class Description
August 22th-24th
On the first day and second day, the lecture will give you basic concept of community power projects, concrete examples and role of experts. On the third day, Students will discuss future community power projects by themselves through a group work.

　本授業の1日目、2日目には，コミュニティパワー事業の概念と具体的事例、様々な専門家の役割を解説する。3日目には、グループワークにより将来自らが関わるコミュニティパワー事業を構想する。

Evaluation Methods and Policy 　Evaluation is made on the basis of active participation in discussion and group work (40 points), preparatory assignment and writing assignment (60 points). Students get qualification for evaluation when they submit all of the writing assignments by the deadline.

Achievement level is assessed by GSGES's criteria.

積極的なディスカッションおよびグループワークへの参加(40点)、事前学習課題および提出レポート(60点)により評価する。レポートを期限内に提出して初めて成績評価の対象とする。

到達目標について、地球環境学舎の成績評価基準に従って評価する。

Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Students must complete preparatory assignment on PandA system to gain basic knowledge of renewable energy.
