Outline and Purpose of the Course We mainly focus on the basics and advanced applications of chemistry and physics in relation to photonics and electronics.
Course Goals ・To understand the basic points of chemistry and physics, which relate to photonics and electronics.
・To acquire the basic knowledge to utilize the photo-energy system.
Schedule and Contents Basically, the course will be offered as the following plan. However, it may change the order or the number of times for each theme depending on the progressive of the course.
Nanomanufacturing of the materials; Phase separation; Nanotemplates; Multilayered films; Electrospinning/Characterization of nano structures; electron microscopies; 3D imazing; Optical microscopies [7 classes, Sagawa]
Quantum optics and photonics/Lasers/Synchrotron radiation/Photoelectron spectroscopy/Absorption and emission spectroscopy/Vibrational spectroscopy/Dynamic Light Scattering [7 classes, Hachiya]
Feedback [1 class, Hachiya]
Evaluation Methods and Policy Evaluation will be based on oral presentation and reports (80 points) and class performance (20 points).
Oral presentation and reports will be assessed on the basis of achievement level for course goals.
Evaluation for class performance includes attendance and active participation.

Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Depending on the progressive of the course, attendees will conduct a research and consider their assigned parts.
