Outline and Purpose of the Course Group dynamics is a research field which investigates dynamic nature of human collectivity (e.g., family, group, organization, community, etc.) including both people and their physical and institutional environment through collaborative practice by both researchers and people in the research field. This cource provides students with theory and methodology of group dynamics to understand and consider the way of communication over energy problems.
Course Goals By the end of the course, students will have understanding of the basics of theory and methodology of group dynamics.
Schedule and Contents The course will cover the following topics. Students will learn each topic through lecture, presentation, and discussion.

・natural sciences and human sciences
・social constructionism as meta-theory of human sciences
・theory and methodology of group dynamics
・new theory of communication and its application to energy problems
・action research on organaization and community issues
Evaluation Methods and Policy The evaluation is based upon class participation including presentation and short report (100 points)

Will be evaluated according to the grade evaluation policy of the Graduate School of Energy Science
Course Requirements Those who take "Energy Communication" must previously have earned credits on "Social Psychology",a common subject.
Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Students are recommended to read reference books introduced during class.
