Outline and Purpose of the Course From the viewpoint to construct technical systems which harmonizes with human and society, basic knowledge and applications of human-machine interface and its design evaluation, basic knowledge and applications of virtual reality and augmented reality as multimedia interactions, basic knowledge and case studies of living / office environment and their energy management will be lectured with some practical cases in companies.
Course Goals The goal of this subject is to foster the viewpoint of human-machine relationship by considering various human factors and human-machine interface systems for smooth utilization / operation of modern large-scale engineering systems such as energy systems.
Schedule and Contents 2 - 3 classes per one subject are being planned for the following subjects.
1. Human cognitive characteristics
2. Human physiological characteristics and affective interface
3. Evaluation of usability
4. Virtual reality, augmented reality
5. Energy saving and environment management of office
Evaluation Methods and Policy The grade will be evaluated according to the grade evaluation policy of the Graduate School of Energy Science.
Concretely,
Active participation and exercises given in the class (30%), and
Report assignments given by each lecturer (70%).

Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Preparation, review and assignment will be given by each lecturer in the class.
