| Outline and Purpose of the Course |
----------- Anyone interested must contact the instructor BEFORE considering registering for the course. ----------- Students on international internships will work or engage in research on their chosen field at a corresponding international institution or research body either based in Japan or overseas. This will give them the opportunity to delve more deeply into their individual research topics and discover new challenges and issues. This class is adopted as a “global education subject (basic)” (i.e., a mandatory subject for all students under the Master of Education program) with three key elements, namely pre-internship studies within the school, the actual internship outside the school, and post-internship studies. It seeks to develop students' academic inquiry and problem-solving abilities. The main objective of this pre-internship study is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, etc. necessary for an internship. The internship will be done at an international institution (based in Japan or overseas) or at an overseas research body. Post-internship studies will consist of a review of the internship. |

| Course Goals |
・Students should be able to promptly and effectively communicate with relevant people within and outside the school regarding their internships and take the lead when making the necessary arrangements ・Students should be able to tackle issues with an inquisitive mind, have an awareness of existing problems, and propose smart solutions. |

1. Pre-internship study (4 sessions) First and second session: Individual interviews Third and fourth session: Preparation 2. Internship (8 hours a day x 5 days a week x 2 weeks = 80 hours; equivalent to 10 sessions) 3. Post-internship study (1 session) Results report |
