Outline and Purpose of the Course Graduate school beginner-level macroeconomics lectures.
Course Goals To gain familiarity with post-graduate macroeconomics and develop the foundation to follow cutting-edge research in the field.
Schedule and Contents Graduate school beginner-level macroeconomics lectures. Shibata will cover the first half (1-4) of lectures and Takahashi the second half (5-7).

5. General Equilibrium under Uncertainty
6. Business Cycles
7. Asset Prices
Evaluation Methods and Policy Evaluation is done through homework (assigned about 10 times; worth 20% of the grade) and exams (2 times; 80%). As a general rule, all assigned homework should be submitted (only students submitting more than 80% of the homework may appear for the examinations).
Course Requirements It is assumed that students have completed "Mathematics for Economics" and "Advanced Microeconomics" of the basic postgraduate courses. It is also preferable to take "Advanced Econometrics."
Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Students are expected to work hard on homework and submit it without fail.
