| Outline and Purpose of the Course | Explaining the advanced matters of marine environmental microbiology, including production of useful substances by microorganisms such as microalgae, labyrinthula, fungi, archaebacteria, bacteria, etc. in oceans and lakes. In particular, explaining in detail about the production of useful substances, such as omega 3 fatty acids and carotenoids that use microalgae, etc. from the viewpoint of molecular biology and genetic engineering. | |||

The lectures will cover the following subjects. 1-2. Microalgae 3-4. Labyrinthula 5-6. Genetic manipulation of microalgae 7. Industrial use of microorganisms 8. Feedback: questions will be accepted by email during the feedback period. |
