Outline and Purpose of the Course The metabolic mechanism of living organisms plays an extremely important role in homeostasis in human and animal life activities. In this special lecture, the mechanism of metabolism, especially the macro and micro control mechanisms of carbohydrate metabolism, lipid metabolism, energy metabolism are lectured, and the food and nutritional aspects are considered. Furthermore, the relationship between the pathogenesis and metabolite dynamics (metabolomics) indispensable for considering human health will be understood.
Course Goals By understanding the role of food and nutrition in homeostasis and maintaining health from in vivo metabolic mechanisms, molecular mechanisms, and pathological aspects, foods that can contribute to human health will be understood at the molecular level. In addition, participants can learn related advanced research methods such as metabolome analysis and theoretical consideration method.
