Outline and Purpose of the Course | To understand highly sophisticated catalytic functions of enzyme, especially its substrate specificity and reaction specificity, from a viewpoint of science, we teach kinetics, activity control, and reaction mechanism from basic contents to current situation of forefront research. We also teach industrial application of enzyme.
Course Goals | Students will learn industrial use of enzymes and accademic research of enzymes and will be able to design one’s own methodology in which enzymes are used to solve various problems.
Schedule and Contents |
We will conduct a 135-min class five times on the following subjects. No. 1: Basic of Enzyme Chemistry (Yasukawa) No. 2: Industrial use of enzymes (Yasukawa or External lecturer) No. 3: Industrial use of enzymes (Yasukawa or External lecturer) No. 4: Academic research of enzymes (Takita) No. 5: Academic research or enzymes (Yasukawa) |
