Outline and Purpose of the Course lectures and seminars on the type of enterprise, decision-making and ethics of farm and coordination of quality, price and safety in regional and global agri-food system
Course Goals Students will engage in and learn the following skills by selecting a research theme and conducting research and analysis on the selected theme: Survey the studies conducted in the past on analytical frameworks and supporting theories for representing the process of food production, supply and consumption as one coordinating system, and compile the results;
Research the studies conducted in the past related to the theories and analysis techniques for identifying specific problems in coordination and proposing solutions, and compile the results.
Schedule and Contents Students will select a theme based on the areas and topics described above, survey literature in the related fields, conduct research and analysis, report on the progress, lead a discussion and summarize the results.

In total, there will be 15 presentations and Q&As.

Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Students are expected to pursue their research themes proactively and prepare thoroughly for their report so that they are ready to answer questions from other students. The objective of this course is to enable students to pursue their research themes, and the report presentations and Q&A sessions are designed to help students achieve the objective. Students are to monitor the progress of their research projects on their own and give a report to the class accordingly.
