Outline and Purpose of the Course | Students will improve abilities as researcher through presentation of progress of research and scientific papers. | ||
Course Goals |
Students will be able to design reseach. They will be able to make a refined presentation of their own research. They will be able to listen to other researchers' presentations with a critical mind. They will be able to make questions and comments on other researchers' presentations. |

Schedule and Contents |
Students will practice the following subjects 15 times in total: 1. Research seminar Students make a slide of the progress of their own research theme and make a presentation. Students join discussion on the presentaion. 2. Journal club Students select excellent scientific papers on enzyme chemistry by Japanese or foreign researchers, make a resume, and present it. I will explain the way of feedback during a class. |

Evaluation Methods and Policy |
Refer to '2020 Guide to Degree Programs' for attainment levels of evaluation. Examination will be based on attendance, performance of presentation, and participation in discussion. |

Course Requirements | Students are expected to have basic knowledge of biochemistry, enzyme chemistry, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry. | ||
Study outside of Class (preparation and review) |
Students are expected to refer to the progress of their own research as topics in their daily conversations. They should spend enough time on the preparation of a slide and a resume. They should check published papers related to thier research theme regularly. |
