Outline and Purpose of the Course The seminar course covers all topics on recent development in plant pathology, virology, mycology, plant-microbe interaction, and general biological sciences. Students read a scientific paper(s) and present the review using Power Point for discussion. One of the purposes of this seminar is to develope the presentation skills of students.
Schedule and Contents
In every seminar, two students present recent topics in the fields of biological sciences using PowerPoint in 30 min + 15 min discussion. They are requested to read many papers related to the main paper they selected for the presentation to make audiences easily understand the topics. All students are also requested to contribute and participate positively into the discussion with certain duties.


Students will present current advancement of their own research topics using PowerPoint (12 min for presentation and 3 min for discussion).


Occasionally feedback time of contents will be inserted during the semesters.
Evaluation Methods and Policy An overall evaluation will be decided with aids such as class attendance and participation, and depth of their understandings of the topics they present.
Course Requirements Graduate students or those who have academic abilities similar to those of graduate students.
