Outline and Purpose of the Course In this seminar, students will learn the up-to-date information in the field of plant metabolic science by intensive reading of newly published scientific papers.
Course Goals In this seminar, students will learn the up-to-date information in the field of plant metabolic science, especially in relation to organic chemistry, biochemistry, and metabolic engineering.
Schedule and Contents Chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular biology of cell-wall formation and secondary metabolism
Students will learn the up-to-date information on secondary cell wall formation and secondary metabolisms of vascular plants by intensive reading of newly published scientific papers.

Metabolic engineering of lignocellulosics for biomass refinery
Students will learn the up-to-date information on metabolic engineering of lignocellulosics for biomass refinery by intensive reading of newly published paper.
