Outline and Purpose of the Course Objective: provide knowledge of the management theory and analysis methods to proceed student's own research project for their Master's thesis.
The main contents: to discuss about members' own research theme or read journal articles related to members' interest.
Course Goals Develop original perspectives and methodologies while reading existing theories critically, and specifically aim to write a Master’s thesis.
Schedule and Contents Reading and discussing basic literature: 10 sessions (reading and discussing Japanese and international basic literature related to business growth and development, in particular literature related to economic, management and accounting dynamic theories.)

Research presentations and discussions: 10 sessions (Each student will be assigned a topic related to business growth and development and research, present, and discuss the topic. Students will also present and discuss their own research themes.)

Master’s thesis supervision: 10 sessions (Students will receive instructions and advice on how to set a theme for their Master’s thesis and analyze issues, and deliver presentations and lead discussions on their Master’s thesis.)

Feedback is done in the office hours.
Evaluation Methods and Policy Evaluation will be based on criteria such as attendance, the content of presentations, and contribution to discussion.
Course Requirements An understanding of agricultural economics and agricultural management is required.
Study outside of Class (preparation and review) Review class and discussion materials to prepare yourself for the next class.
