Outline and Purpose of the Course | This class provides fundamental knowledge, and several techniques on research procedure and logical presentation via reading of the literature on bioelectrochemistry.
Course Goals |
By taking this course students will: Acquire a high level of specialized knowledge and research techniques related to topics such as the mechanisms of life phenomena and the application of biological functions. Develop the awareness that they specialize in a highly creative field of biophysical chemistry, and make it their mission to contribute to innovative technological advances. |
||
Schedule and Contents | We will read and deeply understand recent scientific papers that will be selected in advance by one of the attenders as a presenter in turn. The presenter will give a lecture on the paper in a seminar style. The seminar will provide several advices to the presenter and the audiences. The topics of the papers selected include "structure and function of redox enzymes", "charge transfer though lipid bilayers", and "fundamental and application of bioelectrocatalysis".
Evaluation Methods and Policy |
Attendance, discussion, oral-presentation Refer to '2016 Guide to Degree Programs' for attainment levels of evaluation. |
